In the period from April 25 to April 26, 2022, within the framework of the Regional Professional Skills Competition "WorldSkills Pavlodar – 2022", a professional skills competition on the competence "Information Cable Networks" was held on the basis of the Higher College of Electronics and Communications, in which the best students of the Higher College of Electronics and Communications of the specialty 130600 0 "Radio Electronics and Communications" took part (qualification 130609 3 "Communication Technician", 130613 4 "Applied Bachelor of Communications") Abdukhodjaev Nurdaulet, Samat Ali, Semchenko Maxim.

"Information cable networks" are present in all spheres of our life and are the foundation for the construction of mobile communication networks, local area networks (LAN), cable television networks, global computer networks (WAN), video surveillance networks and other low-current networks. For the design and installation of geographically distributed networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN) and cable television networks, special knowledge in the installation and maintenance of cable networks is required. The quality and speed of the production of such works directly depends on the level of knowledge and the availability of professional skills of the specialists who produce these works.

 

 

The competitive competition on the competence of "Information cable networks" consisted of 2 modules, including:

- Module 1 – Optical fiber welding;

- Module 2 - Device switching and network setup;

After the drawing of jobs, the participants received a safety briefing, after which they began to complete the task of the first competition day. When completing the task, the participants had to cut the optical cable, install the optical coupling, install and install the optical cross, distribute optical fibers, lay out pigtails and optical fibers in the cassette, and perform labeling.

On the second day of the competition, it was necessary to install and test the cable infrastructure, according to the assigned task.

During the second module, the participants demonstrated the following basic skills:

-Installation and connection of active equipment;

-Manufacture and termination of UTP type cables;

-Installation of equipment;

-Visual demonstration of an image from a video camera on a laptop monitor.

On the basis of the social partnership agreement dated 23.10.2013 for No. 1033, Kazakhtelecom JSC provides assistance in training college students in specialized specialties, including through WorldSkills.

Experts during the regional championship involved our social partners, employees of Kazakhtelecom JSC - Sergey V. Pogudin, leading engineer of the Maintenance Center for Local Networks of Pavlodar TUSM, Dauren Yerzhanovich Eleusizov, technical mentor of Pavlodar TUSM, Dias Ertisovich Seitov, leading engineer of Pavlodartranstlekom.

Nikolay Ivanovich Tkachenko, a teacher of special disciplines of the department of Automation, Telemechanics and Communications, was involved as an expert from the college, the role of the Chief Expert was assigned to Tamara Fedorovna Gordeeva, a teacher of the HCEaC, who already has experience of participating in the WorldSkills National Championship.
