Kazakhstan, thanks to the launch space platform, became famous throughout the world and entered the annals of world cosmonautics.

Also this year marks the 30th anniversary of the first Kazakh flight into space.

In 1991, Toktar Aubakirov was on the Soyuz TM-13 spacecraft as a research cosmonaut. The duration of his stay in space is 7 days 22 hours 13 minutes. In orbit, he conducted experiments on the first Kazakh space program "Garysh-Kazakstan."

He made a huge contribution to the development of geological theory, and his research led to the discovery of the richest natural resources of Kazakhstan. Huge merits belong to Kanysh Imantaevich Satpaev in the field of organization of science in Kazakhstan. For many years he was president of the Academy of Sciences and created a large scientific center, contributed to the development of many branches of science. Satpayev made a big role in the development of science throughout our country.
