In the assembly hall of our college on February 23, a meeting was held with the senior detective officer for combating drug crime of the Pavlodar police department, police major Seytakhmetova E.K. on the topic “Drug addiction: know so as not to stumble.” Students from all courses attended the meeting. During the conversation, students were provided with information about the work of law enforcement agencies in the field of preventing the use and illegal sale of synthetic drugs, the consequences of their use, and legal liability for the illegal sale of narcotic substances. Police officers told young people about the dangers of drug use and their harmful effects on the human body. Students learned how important it is to refuse the first offer to try a drug and how dangerous it is to be involved in criminal schemes for the sale of prohibited substances. The police also brought to the attention of those present information about the procedure for registering persons who use narcotic drugs with the drug treatment office, and that this imposes a number of restrictions on a person, primarily in the professional and social spheres of activity.
