A team of Pavlodar region on Robotics brought two gold and one bronze medals of International festival on Robotics “KazRobotics-2017” which was held on October, 6-7 in a new “Palace of fighting” in Aktobe city under auspices of Kazakhstan Federation of educational and sport Robotics “KazRobotics”.
15 students and schoolchildren joined the team of Pavlodar – the winners of regional qualifying championship that was held in May of 2017. They are from Pavlodar college of transport and communications, school “Zhas Daryn”, lyceum “Bilim Innovation”, schoolchildren`s palace of Kataev and kids` club “Robotrack”.
Whole half a year students were preparing for so serious and large-scale action, were finishing their robots structurally and programmatically.
The participant of Pavlodar team Omarov Tamirlan shares his impressions:
- Wehave met before at competitions to some teams from Karaganda, NKR therefore expected that competition will be rather sharp. The level of training of Kazakhstan students grows from year to year. Before competitions we worked every day, even during week-end, aiming at a victory.
Teams from 14 regions of Kazakhstan, representatives of Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan have participated in KazRobotics-2017 festival. Guests of honor of the Round table concerning development of robotics became Maxim Vasilyev – the president of the Russian association of educational robotics and Ovsyanitsky Dmitry Nikolaevich - the author of the best Russian books on robotics LegoMindstorms.
In the sports direction of the festival competitions were held on categories "Kegelring Quadra", "Races on the Line with Obstacles", "Robosumo mini", "Walking Sumo", "Biathlon", "Robofootball".
The robot of the team of the Pavlodar college of transport and communicationsbecame the leader of competitions in the senior group of category "Kegelring Quadra" (the trainer Smirnov E.A.) The robot has perfectly executed the program of all three arrivals and has brought to the team victorious gold.
The bronze award in younger age group of category "Kegelring Quadra" was won by young robotics from the Palace of school students of Katayev Eltay Elnur, Potapov Evgeny (trainer Vaziyanov E.V).
In parallel with fights of robots on sports grounds the final internal stage of a competition of scientific and technical projects in KazRoboProject-2017 robotics took place. Participating teams of a competition represented for consideration of judges their own robotic developments for which the main criterion – the practical importance and applicability in life. Projects have undergone previously the procedure of the correspondence examination, and now students had to defend personally the project and convince judges that it is the best.
Telegenov Ermurat and Kirilyus Artem from the Pavlodar college of transport and communications (heads Titova N.N., Smirnov E.A.) represented at competition the project “Microprocessor ALMAZ Installation”. Installation is intended for processing of solid materials like wood, plastic, plexiglass, an artificial stone, etc. by means of a mill or the laser. Students created it especially for use in a college circle of robotics.
- Usually, when we develop a design of new robots, non-standard details which are made in a circle of improvised materials are necessary. Our ALMAZ installation will allow to do it quicker and more exactly, and its prime cost is lower, than at industrial analogs as we printed details on the 3D-printer ourselves.
The appreciation of experts, competent protection and undoubted practical value of this project have allowed students to become gold prize-winners of the International KazRobotics-2017 festival, having once again confirmed high level of training of Pavlodar students. We will remind, in December of last year the students` project Maximus also became the winner of the Republican competition of robotic projects.
