Today, on March 20, a festive concert dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz was held at the college. "The main purpose of the Nauryz Meiramy holiday is to strengthen peace and friendship in the Kazakh land, preserve national identity, promote family values, and foster respect for the environment." Nauryz is a celebration of national identity and harmony, well–being and unity. Nauryz is the beginning of a new year, a symbol of the renewal of nature, the rebirth of life, the purification of thoughts, the triumph of nobility and goodness. The vernal equinox is an astronomical phenomenon. In the writings of Akhmet Baitursynov, the stop of Noah's Ark is designated as the time when "day and night equaled." The tradition of celebrating Nauryz has an ancient history and has been preserved for many peoples around the world to this day. Most often this holiday is called "Nauryz", "Nevruz", "Navruz", "Novruz Bayram", Tajiks refer to it as "Gul gardon", "Snowdrop", "Gulnauryz", Tatars – "Nardugan", Buryats – "Sagaan Sara", ancient Greeks – "Patriarch", Burmese – "Water Festival", Chuvash – "Noris oyakhe", Khorezmians – "Nausarji".
